About the event
This 4-week program is taught by Occupational Therapists from the Caroline Family Health Team & the Burlington Family Health Team. The sessions are dedicated to providing education on brain function, the importance of brain health, lifestyle measures to maintain cognition function, and strategies for managing memory changes. The complete program consists of one hour sessions that run 2x/week for 4 weeks. The goals of the program include: •Understanding brain function, types of memory, and what memory changes are normal with aging •Learning lifestyle measures to maintain brain health •Identifying and implementing strategies for managing memory changes Who: Individuals 60+ (This program is not suitable for those diagnosed with cognitive impairment or any type of dementia).
